Helbling is representing an environmental remediation firm in conducting an executive search to secure an Account Manager. Our client is seeking to grow by providing breadth and depth to its efforts and interaction with consulting engineering companies. The Account Manager will play an important role in this effort.  He/she will collaborate and work closely with the Sales team, Sales Director, and directly with consulting engineering firms and clients.  

Responsibilities include:

  • Researches, validates, and documents opportunities with primary client targets.
  • Tracks, manages, prioritizes, and develops sales strategies for potential opportunities.
  • Works to strengthen and develop existing client relationships, as well as new customers.
  • Communicates and collaborates with internal operations leadership.
  • Actively participates and assists with Qualifications and Proposals development.
  • Manages and utilizes internal marketing and graphics resources and personnel.
  • Seeks and develops potential alliances.
  • Thinks outside the box to offer clients new approaches, ideas, and strategies.
  • Promote company's identity and brand.
  • Regularly travels to pursue and advance opportunities.

The Account Manager derives his or her authority, and performs all duties with guidance, primarily from the Sales and Marketing Director.

This job is performed both in the office and traveling, within the continental US.

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Fifteen (15) years of industry experience.
  • Ten (10) years of business development experience.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of the environmental remediation business – scopes, skills, and approaches.
  • Knowledge of consulting engineering companies that participate in the environmental market.
  • Demonstrated business development skills and experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience and ability using CRM databases with Salesforce preferred.
  • Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.
  • Ability to understand and follow detailed directions.
  • Ability to work on / manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial culture and be self-motivated.
  • Adept at giving presentations to clients, potential clients, and other key decision-makers.
  • Innovative thinker.
  • Functions effectively as part of a team.
  • Time management skills and organizational skills
  • Flexible and adaptable team-player, as well as have strong client service skills.
