Helbling is representing a repeat client, a hospital in the Greater New York City region in conducting an executive search to secure a Vice President, Facilities Management (VP). The VP is a member of the executive team and collaborates with leaders from the governing board, management, medical staff, and clinical areas in the hospital’s decision making processes regarding construction, renovation, strategic planning, and facility management (overall maintenance and repair and central energy plant oversight). This will include but not be limited to the Master Facility Plan as well as program and environmental management.
As a member of the executive team, this position will lead teams to evaluate and prioritize projects; direct construction regarding performance and design; track project costs and schedules; develop project budget and timelines; mitigate risk while assuring compliance; and achieve quality and safety by adhering to regulatory requirements. Major areas of responsibility include management of minor construction projects, and coordination with Real Estate and Facilities on larger construction projects.
