Tom has consulted clients on executive search practices and processes for more than four decades. After working at a firm that specialized in construction management recruiting, he founded Helbling in 1992. Tom’s strong relationships with construction contractors and real estate developers contributed to the firm’s growth as clients began referring Helbling to their contacts at other organizations.

Tom is committed to performance and results and instills that mentality in his team members. He truly enjoys the challenges that new assignments bring. Clients value Tom’s candid perspective and genuine interest in understanding their organization’s vision in order to best define their hiring needs.

Those clients include commercial real estate developers, design & construction firms, and investment firms as well as corporations, cultural and community organizations, and higher education and healthcare institutions with significant real estate portfolios.

Tom earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration and Economics from Thiel College in Pennsylvania.
